New Canon 7D Cameras!
This week has felt like Christmas for us here at FortyOneTwenty. On Tuesday I got a call letting us know that our pre-ordered Canon 7D cameras were finally in and ready to be picked up. We’ve been playing with them and really getting a feel for using a photo camera to capture HD video. It’s really different, but the images you can capture are beautiful!
We are selling our current video setup and transitioning to a more light weight situation with these new 7D cameras. With this new transition we are hoping to delve into the wedding industry. It’s a new thing for us, but we are very confident in creating high quality films on the design side…so the hope is that it will translate to weddings.
Keep an eye out for a preview of our first wedding shoot coming up on the 3rd of October, we should have something to show that next week.

Hi, came across your site doing a search for 7D films. Love your work in weddings! A query. There’s a lot going around on the 7D sensor over heating. Since you use only the 7D in the weddings, have you faced the issue? If not, how do you get by that limitation? Thanks for your sharing.
Love your work!

We have had issues with the heating sensor coming on, but only when shooting for longer periods of time in the 60fps mode. That’s a lot of frames for the camera to capture every second, so you just have to give it a break every now and then. Works really well in normal 24fps mode though.
