It’s hard to go wrong when having your wedding anywhere on Coronado Island, especially when it’s a beautiful, clear day outside. Emily & Nick’s wedding was no exception. Well, the ceremony itself took place at the North Chapel in Point Loma’s NTC Promenade (which is always a beautiful venue) but that’s beside the point. The day started out on the island at the Coronado Marriott. When we first arrived at the hotel, we took a wrong turn and ended up running into Nick and his family, poolside, enjoying some breakfast looking out across the bay at the San Diego skyline. He noted that we looked a little lost and kindly pointed us in the direction of Emily’s room

When everyone had finished getting ready, we all headed back over the bridge and up to the North Chapel in Point Loma for the ceremony and pictures. Then it was back to the island for the reception at Breaker’s Beach within the Naval Air Station base. Overall, it was a spectacular day and we were thrilled to be a part of it. Congratulations Emily & Nick!!

We had a blast shooting this beautiful beach-side wedding! The day started early with the guys drinking some beer and the ladies getting hair and make-up done. Once everyone was ready to go, we all headed over to the Hotel Del Coronado for the first look. Afterwards, we were happy to be able to take off our shoes and roll up our pants for a laid back ceremony on the beach looking out at the Del, and what a beautiful day it was! Scott and Taylor exchanged custom vows…a real tear jerker, we were able to squeeze some of that into the highlight. The ceremony ended and we had to book it over to the reception for the grand entrance and first dance, so we hauled all our equipment a mile or two over to the location and set up. The rest of the night went by quick with some great speeches and crazy dancing.

We had so much fun shooting this one. It helps when everyone is really fun! Thanks Scott and Taylor, congrats!

We had a great time shooting Shane and Sabrina’s wedding this past weekend. The whole day really went smoothly, and the wedding was beautiful! I’m a fan of the ceremony not dragging out too long…this one was over in a about 10 minutes. Incredible!

We shot at the Loews Hotel Resort on the Strand and Doubletree Hotel in Mission Valley for the getting ready parts. The ceremony and reception were both at Breakers Beach on the Coronado Naval Base. It was really a cool experience shooting on the base. The landing strip was really close, luckily we didn’t have too many helicopters or planes landing during the ceremony.
